Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a team applying Nikola’s radio frequency to direct current (RF-to-DC) wireless power technology to solve real-world problems. Through collaboration with both team members and customers, your work will help improve a wide range of consumer and industrial products by incorporating wireless power. RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical Engineer will report to the Director of Product Development and work closely with engineers and technicians on customer-focused projects and internal developments. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Hardware design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Correcting analog and digital electronic assemblies under development, during system integration or returned from the field
  • Hardware design, development, testing, and troubleshooting

  • Design and integration of physical packages and PCBs that are to be embodied together
  • Acquire and/or build the tools and facilities necessary to support a growing RF electronics product development company
  • Work independently and with minimal direction on specific tasks assigned to the candidate
  • Critical thinking is vital as is the willingness to challenge others regardless of their position in the company

QUALIFICATIONS

Electrical Engineer at Nikola Labs should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; Master’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing electronic products for consumer or commercial applications
  • Experience developing embedded software associated with electronic products is considered a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively convey ideas
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a plus
  • Ability to work in US
