Electrical Engineer Intern

Nikola Labs is on a quest to create the future and build the world’s leading wireless power company. As an EE Intern you will assist senior engineers in applying Nikola’s radio frequency to direct current (RF-to-DC) wireless power technology to solve real-world problems. Through collaboration with team members, your work will help improve a wide range of consumer and industrial products by incorporating wireless power. This position will report to the Lead Engineer and work closely with the entire engineering team on customer-focused projects and internal developments. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support Hardware design, development, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Correcting analog and digital electronic assemblies under development, during system integration or returned from the field
  • Design and integration of physical packages and PCBs that are to be embodied together


EE Interns at Nikola Labs should have the following qualifications:

  • MS/PhD student, Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • Experience developing embedded software associated with electronic products is considered a plus
  • Experience using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Altium to create PCB layouts for circuits preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively convey ideas
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a plus
