Software Developer


We are seeking a software engineer to support the development of embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and user-facing PC interface software. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Development, Electrical Engineering with a focus on software development, or a related field 

  • At least two years of experience in software development for embedded systems 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional, dynamic team environment 

  • Experience working with commercially available embedded development platforms, such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or other single board computers (SBC) 

  • Experience using common electronics equipment, such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other data acquisition hardware to debug embedded system software performance 

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics

  • Experience developing C/C++ for embedded system with and with real time operating systems (RTOS) 

  • Experience with Python,, Javascript, HTML and CSS, or other high-level programming languages 

  • Experience using a software configuration and version management tool such as BitBucket or GitHub 

  • Experience working with issue tracking tools, such as Jira 

  • Ability to read assembly (machine code) to understand compiling errors and sensitive coding requirements of the hardware platform 

  • Experience using some or all of the full-stack development tools such as Mongo, Express, Angular/Vue, and Node ("MEAN / MEVN") or a similar tool set 

  • Experience with SQL database engines such as SQL Serve, MySQL, and similar 

  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, LoRa
